Taylor Fritz got all hot and bothered talking about Sydney Sweeney while golfing

Taylor Fritz and his influencer girlfriend Morgan Riddle called it quits back in April after six years together. Following the split, Riddle announced she was done dating athletes.

When it comes to the tennis star, he's made no such promises about dating influencers or hanging out with them. He was even rumored to have been in a relationship with one, although those rumors proved not to be true.

While Fritz was enjoying the perks of his apparent single life, golfing with influencers Nick Nayersina, David Dobrik, and Josh Richards for content that ended up on YouTube a couple of weeks ago, the topic of celebrity crushes came up.

These aren’t up-and-coming influencers. They know you slap a big name celebrity on a professional athlete, and you're picking up views left and right.

When asked about who his celebrity crush is, Fritz responds, "Sydney Sweeney." He confirms the selection with a head nod when asked if he's serious about his answer.

That's a name that's going to get some attention and if he didn’t end up working himself up over it, you could easily believe the whole interaction was part of a script.

Richards seems to think that the tennis star has a shot with the A-list actress and responds, "That's in the realm." There is the whole obstacle of her being in a relationship right now, but other than that, Fritz evidently has a shot.

A couple of the guys pointed out that Sweeney was a fan of their golf content and that she would now know that he was a fan of her.

After hitting a golf ball shortly after the exchange, Fritz admits he's a little hot and bothered by the discussion. He tells the camera, "We're talking about Sydney Sweeney, got me all f—-ng tee'd up!"

I'm sure that's not the first time nor will it be the last time that Sydney Sweeney got someone all tee'd up. It happens. Like I mentioned, she's currently in a relationship, so this was an airball as soon as it left his hand.

But who knows what the future holds for Taylor Fritz? I'm going to wish him luck on and off the course and on and off the tennis court. Whatever is meant to be will work itself out.

He's currently scheduled to face Rafael Jodar in the final of the Mubadala DC Open on Sunday afternoon, although weather could delay the match.
