Miley Cyrus has signed with Atlantic Records, sources familiar with the matter confirm to The Hollywood Reporter.
Cyrus comes to Atlantic from Sony Music’s Columbia, where she released her albums Endless Summer Vacation and Something Beautiful, the former yielding her mega-hit “Flowers,” which won Cyrus her first Grammy award. Before then, she’d spent over a decade in the Sony system at RCA, where she released her albums Bangerz, Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, Younger Now and Plastic Hearts.
With a new deal secured, Cyrus presumably has new music on the way sooner than later. She has teased new music as far back as last year, saying during an album listening event for Something Beautiful that “my next album is about to be extremely experimental, so have fun with that.”
Outside of music, Cyrus has already had a busy 2026, starting with a 20th anniversary special for Hannah Montana, the show that put her on the map in the first place. She got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame back in the spring as well.
“To my family, my future family, parents, my mom, my siblings, my friends, my collaborators, thank you for loving and supporting not only the choices that I make, but my fears, and then facing them with me,” Cyrus said during the ceremony. “Today is something that I’ll never forget and I’m always going to cherish. I love you all so much, thank you.”
The Cyrus deal marks the biggest signing for the label since Elliot Grainge took the reigns as CEO of the company, where he also signed acts like Clairo and Hilary Duff. The news of Cyrus’s signing comes months after the label parted ways with Ed Sheeran, who’d long been among the biggest acts across the WMG roster. As THR first reported this month, Sheeran has moved to UMG’s Interscope Records.
