Jesus Heads to His Crucifixion in ‘The Chosen’ Season 6 Teaser Trailer

“My wife, my three kids and I have a nightly ritual of watching The Chosen,” singer/songwriter Tyler Hubbard said, in part, in a statement accompanying the teaser (below) for The Chosen season six. “We really got into it! It’s a show that I love and am connected to, so I was really excited to personally be a part of the show and part of the music.”

So moved was Hubbard (of Florida Georgia Line), he wrote “All I Need Is You” for the series, which will be the lead single on an upcoming album “inspired by The Chosen,” according to series creator Dallas Jenkins. Yes, the other news of the day is that Jenkins’ 5&2 Studios and Capitol Christian Music Group are putting out an album of original songs in October.

The album will precede November’s The Chosen season six release on Amazon’s Prime Video. This one will be an especially tough watch as it tracks Jesus Christ (Jonathan Roumie) headed to his own crucifixion: crown of thorns, iron spikes — the whole deal. You might want to watch this one after your kids go to bed, Tyler.

In 5&2’s words, the coming installment of The Chosen brings the series to “the most consequential day in human history.”

“The hour has come. Before the sun sets, Jesus of Nazareth will be dead,” the season six synopsis teases (though we already knew that). “Season six captures the historic events of Jesus’ final day through the lives of those who love Him — and those who condemn Him.”

“Pharisees call it justice. Romans call it peace. Followers call it murder,” it continues. “But in the face of loneliness and death, Jesus stands resolute in his plan that has always led to one place: the cross.”

The Chosen season six premieres Nov. 15, 2026. The first three episodes will launch all at once, with the rest of the season rolling out one episode per week through Dec. 6 — though that is not its finale. Season six officially concludes with a feature film to be released only in theaters on March 12, 2027.
